Stop Blaming People

By thousands of young people entering the gates of the new work, also the frustration of young managers in the world of work, often ask me: what aspects of the world's most challenging job? Frankly, whatever and wherever they work,
as well as any educational capitalize actually very easy, as long as studious and ask. What often makes everything so complicated, is human interaction. Let alone the new man entering the gates work, they who have twilight in the workplace though often made dizzy by the last interaction.

Borrowing assumption of an author, there is a difference between kicking a ball and kicking the cat. Before kicking the ball, we can predict where the ball will move after the kick. However, before kicking the cat, we do not know whether the cat is going to cry, run, jump, death or other alternatives. Now, predict the response of others before we act, far more complex than predicting the response of cats. Therefore, the cat does not know politics, pretending, revenge and a host of other complicated things. However, this also causes people to be disciplined to manage a full touch of art and sensitivity. A small part of it can be expressed through words. Just, most of it is not revealed and can only be felt.

I do not without school or without exam, but things are not the last expression, more understandable if we experienced it myself in the field. Rumored to be negative by others, does not fit, willing cut of the chair, humiliated in public, negative speech behind us, just a series of things that must be personally experienced in the field. For then, get a deep understanding of the dynamics of human interaction in the world of work. I doubt if there are people who obtained a final understanding, without ever slammed earlier waves of temptation.

After learning from the pile of thousands of stupidity and failures of the past, I found a useful wisdom. In every human problem, I learned to reduce the search for who is wrong. And focus on solving problems.

Very similar to the last way, Ken Coke and Joan Goldsmith in Resolving Conflict at Work, once wrote: 'Define the problem as a person and you are in trouble. Difficult as define the problem behavior, you can do something about it '. In other words, if you put the problem to the people, and then take action (what else is illegal) then the problem will be replaced with a bigger problem. However, if the solution is concentrated in the difficult behavior, then we can find a way out which is more productive.

Now, if only more people would learn to stop blaming others, and focus on solving problems, the world of work is not something frightening. It is where 'meditation', which often brings peace. The problem, to be able to quit bad habits before, besides sometimes less supported environment, too often confronted by the drives from within that is also not easy. Emotions, ego, self esteem, pride, impatience is only a fraction of earlier impulses. Those people - from criminals to pastors - have drive past with different levels. However, whoever the person, he takes a deep meditation to manage the drives earlier.

What I call the deep meditation actually very easy. When hungry, eat in moderation. When thirsty, drink could. When the eyes sleepy, sleep sufficiently. In other words, we are with all of their daily lives is actually a long meditation. When we do this long meditation with diligence, which became manager of our body and soul. Not vice verse, we are managed by this body.

The more so for those that most other people work is changing. Or has the noble task of socializing the noble values. It's hard to imagine, the last task can be completed successfully without going through deep mediation. This is also why, why certain people meet it is easy to shrink, reverence, respect, and similar feelings.

At one time, a colleague who has decades of experience managing thousands of people speaking with management concerns. Humans take care of difficult - according to colleagues earlier - is work that was never completed. This year there are so many people are sticking well, next year for sure - once again for sure - there are other human beings who incarnate difficult. Similar to homework (homework) at school, he would always come and take turns alternately.

Thread that can be drawn from this story, solve human problems by moving, firing and similar indeed okay to do sometimes. However, any organization which was led by a man with a hobby of blaming others, besides could not solve the problem long term, also failed to build a strong industrial relations.

Well, one spirit with the approach of deep meditation, the work of human interaction will become easier, if we begin to stop blaming others.
